Wood spirit carving

Hm, Klahanie, you have nice hobby. Very nice carpenter´s work - or is it made from ceramic?.
This guy is to be a kinsman of the Green Man although it doesn´t have leaves around the face :)) Do you think "spirits" like this do protect us?
The face reminds me a sculpture / relief of a Green Man which is in Sutton Benger church. It was pagan´s symbol, yet present in church architecture quite often..
We have several talented folk woodcarvers and one made something very beautiful. From a large tree trunk he carved Jesus as a Green Man. One could see just His ideal face and part of the body, the rest of the sculpture were twisted branches and leaves, carved with amazing details.

This is wooden piece. My DH stained it. And no, I do not believe that these little wood sculptures will protect us in real life :-) It is just symbol of a good spirit. I also appreciate the craftsmenship.We have to protect ourselves, do not we?
The carving you depicted sounds interesting.

We have to protect ourselves, that´s true, but we also need a good luck in this activity. And that is beyond us.:)
