I love your art, you get such texture in them.

Thanks Drc, it was my first sketch in 22 years since college. Tried using water colour the other day. It was abysmal. :-)

Goodness! with that sort of talent I am surprised you have not done a lot over the years.

I spent 17 years working my way up the corporate ladder until I was head of employee comms for a global company. Yearned for years to get back to my sketch book. And here I finally am :-).

Good luck with it.

17 years on the corporate ladder eh? Well, if it allows you to now pursue your dreams, then it was time well spent! Wonderful drawing of Monarda!

Such lovely comments. Thanks :-)

Monarda is very hard to paint as it hasnĀ“t very distinct shape. Very well done, Nicky. You have just many talents, you must live with it, lol.

Ha, thanks Katarina. The best thing I find about drawing is the peace that comes with it. I go into a trance-like state when I'm drawing and hours can go by without me moving.... which is quite unlike me usually - am more like Tigger most of the time :)

Then this is the best way how to relax!
