I thought that you were off to Bordeaux today , Karen ?
I prefer this colour to the other one that you posted .

Not long back, Driad...it was just an airport run...suffering from GoY withdrawal symptoms!!

...another airport run tomorrow... :/

This iris is magnificent...it's one that I missed...growing out between the path and the house! lol!

Can't take any credit, Karen...failed to lift it because it's wedged in the foundations! lol! :D

Thought I should list them, Pix...they've all been here for probably as long as I've lived...

...and they've made it clear...they're here to stay!!!! ☺☺

Lovely colour :)

It looks huge!

20 May, 2012

It is indeed, Scottish... :))

It stands about a metre tall, Lulu...with three flowering stems and buds still to open! :)

WoW!

20 May, 2012

I'm kind of glad I didn't give it away!!

Encore , toute seul , Karen ?

20 May, 2012

Bien sûre, Driad...
...apart from the dog, the parrot, the ducks and the chickens! lol

C'est normale, n'est pas??

20 May, 2012

Well , you can get on and do what you want to , can't you ? And there's Skype .
On the chicken front , I read today that chickens are being stolen here , feeders and all ....... desperate times !

20 May, 2012

Chickens and all their accoutrements seem to be big business in the UK, though, don't you think? Have you seen the price of these 'eggloos'???

I think mine are quite safe (apart from with the stone marten in the barn roof)...they cost €2.25 each and they live in an old aviary...
...and...have you seen just how ugly they are??? lol!

20 May, 2012

I'd like some bantams but OH is not too keen , he says that they will scratch up the garden , so for the time being it will have to be virtual chicks I suppose !

20 May, 2012

They do turn their area into a dust-bowl, Driad...unless you move them around regularly...mine are in a pen which was quite overgrown and is suddenly de-nuded!

But, you can make a little wooden 'toblerone' shaped hutch, roost at one end and chicken wire open area at the other...easily moved, not too big but quite enough room for two or three bantams...(bantams eggs are lovely)

I will take a photo of my step-daughter's next time I'm there...her partner made it. They just move it every other day and the grass stays fine!

20 May, 2012

Hi , Karen , thanks for that , I haven't been on for a few days .
I think I've seen something like you describe , I'll have to get my best persuasive wiles on with OH !

24 May, 2012

:))

Get him invovled, Driad...he could build it!!

24 May, 2012

What ?
He'd be the first to admit that a task like that might be too much ! He calls himself a prime bodger , and what does he have a cheque book for ?(Him speaking not me . )
His mother kept chickens when he was young and I think that it has put him off , but that run sounds good to me !

24 May, 2012

Well, if he's anything like mine...the checkbook is stronger than the....jigsaw!!

It'll work...go for it girl!! :)))
