Oh dear. Hope the sun comes out soon for you. What happened to the water lily and iris?

The water lily is still there, Frybo, but looking very poor...and the iris just went from lovely big green healthy plant to dead - in the ten days that I wasn't there at the end of June!
I can only think that they were baked in the fierce sun (the iris)...then battered mercilessly for the following three weeks by the rain...
...it's been awful... :(((

The weather very rarely does what it's told. It's just as well that a lot of plants seem to be able shrug off what gets thrown at them and eventually recover in the fullness of time.

Yes...I've left the iris in the pond, in case the root is still alive...
