Haha, very thrifty! I'm not sure how they will go in pots -but, you might have to make lots of room for them!

yeah i was thinking they might branch out quite far, i'll have to make some sort of supports either side of the bag if they get too carried away!

Haha! Maybe! I built two 2m high wigwams in the garden last year for 2 butternuts. My elderly neighbour chuckled and told me I'd have to watch them! I didn't believe him, thought it was all under control...they went up the wigwams then they took over the garden and I was still trying to give enormous squashes away in November, LOL ! But they were in the ground...and the did make good substitutes for pumkins at Hallowe'en :°

oh no i better have a bit more of a read up on growing them, i just thought i'll give it a go and see what happens!
i did grow a pumpkin at my last house but we had a huge garden that i completley revamped and had a huge area at the end that i cleared and had as an allotment type bed so it had loads of space to grow.
i actually shed a tear when i had to leave that garden but i needed to be closer to work :(

S'pect you'll soon find out about the squash, Claire, but you might need a bigger pot!!

It's horrible having to leave a garden after you've worked hard and nurtured it :(
