First day of summer today, raised border has courgettes (just starting to flower) cabbages, strawberries (in grow bags) brussels and runner beans + one cucumber plant in a corner. Built this myself and put tons of soil into it, only problem is it dries out so fast.

Been looking at your garden it is lovely, love the wildlife pond. I have pond but it needs a re-vamp, fish in it, we have toads frogs and newts, have been waiting to do the clear out until the newts have finished breeding so hopefully it will be soon. There's a large border around the pond and it is overgrown at moment with lots of plants and creeping buttercup, which is a pain to keep under control. It has lots of lily of the valley and Ladies mantle but again they have become out of control and need to be dug out and re-housed. Not looking forward to the big dig. Hopefully getting electric up to the site and then shall be able to have a filter pump and fountain in it. Should help to keep it cleaner.
