what a nice suprise blooming under the conifer this week spreading nicely but I'm sure they were pink originally!

Cyclamen hederifolium,(a.k.a. neapolitanum) come in many shades of pink and, in the wild (S. Europe & Mediterranean regions), the white form is very rare. However, in British gardens, The white var. grows more strongly and spreads more rapidly than the typical form. I don't know the reason for this 'botanical mystery'. I wonder if anyone else does.
