DANDY LING LOGS......

This we used to call a cranefly but I dont think it is.

I do believe it is a crane fly but called DLL which icomes from the 'Nice legs' character - see my reply Bob.

Forgot to say, I caught the final episode of that Griff Rhys Jones 'Rivers' prog and it was actually quite interesting. Will look out ofr the repeats now.

There was an episode on the Severn and the Wye which you'll find interesting being a local.

When I was young (!) we used to call these Whizzle Pings - because they used to whizzle around the room and then ping on those glass lamp shades (which hung from 3 chains). Now all the family use this name :)
