Foxtail Fern thriving!

My wife brought home a little 4" potted Foxtail Fern a few weeks ago and I have replanted it into a very rich mix of local compost, lava-sand, green-sand, expanded-shale, zeolite, decomposed granite, and a splash of native soil.
This little guy has been putting on new growth shooters like crazy and it might be time to "up-pot" it to an 8" pot or larger in the next few weeks. It's currently in a 5" pot.
Every night that I check the little guy, there is a new growth shooter that has emerged! It's quite amazing to watch..
The "growth spurts" seem to follow the "moon cycles", so I will be watching that also..
Interesting little plant that responds to an organic soil program beautifully! I just LOVE it!

Interesting to know if the moon has anything to do w/the growth.
They are fast growers & hardy to the point of being hard to kill.
I've seen them grow in any soil but I know them as Asparagus Fern but perhaps the right name Is Foxtail Asparagus Fern not sure though.
There is a trailing version of this plant. Rater nice for hanging over a BIg pot or wall.
