On the 18th April we went to Cambridge to get the car it’s service and MOT. Why Cambridge? Well we have an MG and the garage that specialises in them is near there. Anyway, we spent the day in Cambridge and visited the Botanic Gardens. Well worth it too. Such a variety of things to see, from Giant Redwoods to cactii and a limestone rock garden. The cafe provided a very nice lunch and a good cuppa.
The bluebells in the woodland looked lovely too.

giant redwood – the branches had layered themselves and huge trees grew from them.

a peony which took my eye!Molly the Witch Peony !

Spring bedding – see the beehive? Nice touch.

greenhouse – Jade vine from Thailand – member of the pea family. Wow!

I think Cambridge is probably the best Bortanic Garden in England. Thanks for posting these photos

How beautiful, I would love to visit these sometime too.
Have you ever been to Oxford Botanical Gardens? We went to Oxfd for a daytrip and I longed to go and see the gardens, but of course groans and outvoted by the rest of the family, lol. x

No I've never been to Oxford, but we travel about a bit in our holidays so maybe I will go to those gardens too.
Thanks for your comments.:)
