Some progress - slowly but surely!

Well, day off today and then 4 more days before 9 days holiday…..WOO-HOO!

My birthday on Sunday coming, daughter’s on the Wednesday after and grandson’s on the Friday so, family up Saturday night for a BBQ – weather permitting.

Already have my jobs allocated for the week off with painting the bedroom high on the agenda – Ali wants a French, Country -style look and is up-cycling old pine units and drawers sourced on free sites with one already in the house when we bought it.

Hope to get some gardening in as well and today I managed a few hours potting on some Cosmos Seashell and planting some Red Sun and some Lemon Queen Sunflower seeds. Ali already has 2 trays of Aster doing nicely along with some Rudbeckia and other assorted beauties. I also planted some Bergamot and Fizzy Rose Cosmos today, which are in the potting shed.

Potatoes planted a week or so ago and the middle veg patch is taken over this year by a Foxglove, some Lupins and asters and whatever else I can muster up to give a nice display of colour!!

No pics as yet, just a dandelion who’s offspring seem to be leaving the roost………

She loves me…..she loves me not…..

And how was your day?

Hmm!!!!!! thats you all sorted for a while then Dan, wish I could galvanise my hubby like that, I keep saying how we need a new bedroom carpet, obviously it would be a darn good idea to redecorate first, his answer is "thats a job thats best done when you're on holiday" in all the years we've been married he's never done any jobs around here on his own, he always needs a gopher and thats usually me, lol...
Were you out between showers?? I got trapped in my g'house a few times as its literally chucked it down and then really nice sunshine in between, good planting and growing weather, a good selection coming along for your garden and yes I too have the dandelions smiling at me, lol.
Hope we get some sunshine for the weekend then as a BBQ sounds a great way to celebrate all those birthdays....

It's been sunny all day Lincs so not a problem this end although it looks like it will rain at some point tonight......but seeing as I'm all done outside, nowt to worry about there!

Pretty lucky with jobs too as me and Ali tend to work well together. She will do the wallpapering and I will do the painting. Then she will do the up-cycling on the furniture.

Weather forecast is supposedly good for the weekend so fingers crossed for us all :o)

Happy gardening......

Hope you have a lovely birthday weekend, OB, at least the weather seems to be improving for you then. We had heavy showers and thunder this afternoon, flooding the lawn and taking my electricity out for an out! Looking forward to seeing some more of your lovely photos :)
