Our visit to David Austin Rose Centre this week.

A perfect day for it….we left Chepstow early having booked a 3 hour slot at the centre. It took us 2 hours…..
Surprisingly small but beautiful, the David Austin Centre didn’t disappoint us.I can only describe it as a sea of roses with a constant fragrance wherever you turned.

Couldn’t believe the size of this Gillenia!

‘Port Sunlight’ landed in my trolley alongside ’Lady of Shallot ’ It was a difficult task to have to decide between them.In the end my son surprised me buying one of them for us.So kind of him.

Hope you enjoyed the photos …it is well worth visiting.

Looks a beautiful place to visit and inhale all the wonderful fragrances! I’m pleased you managed to get there, Julia! It must have been so picturesque- the pics probably don’t give us your full experience - especially the wonderful scents! Look forward to seeing your roses planted in your garden! You son was very thoughtful.

Brings back happy memories…. Not far from us….when we lived in the Midlands….. my head gardener went for a job there and was interviewed by the legend that is Michael Marriott….. love your rose choice…..
