Fockea edulis flowering/Pachypodium ready for Autumn!

Hi, something interesting, my F. edulis, in need of a cut, has flowered again, so I thought I would share…

Also, the ‘halfmens’, directly translated as half human/half plant, Pachypodium namaquanum has got his hair (leaves) again. They look like people against the horizon in the Richtersveld where they occur. Do a search to see the larger plants.

Have a good weekend.

Its all cold and foggy in U.K. Thanks for your interesting blog. We would all enjoy another Christmas weekend, instead of being bundled up in extra clothing trying to get some work done on the garden.

It's been sunny and warm today here in Wales Diane :o)

Interesting plants. I've got a Pachypodium lamerei. It's quite similar to this one.

P. geayi is fairly similar - both from Madagascar. Without leaves, I agree, but the curly leaves make this one unique when growing. Pachys in general fall in a category of plants I want, without really knowing why, I just love them, especially the caudex species.

Yes, I like the leaves of this one.
