The start of the Green Journey

I have been off work due to Epilepsy for a while, this has given me the time to get more serious and confident about gardening.

Garden -

- Approx 15ft wide and 35ft long.
- 2 sections – Front/1st – Lawn, shrubs and flowers. Full sun
Back/2nd – Mess! Shed, shrubs,
some partial shade.

Tasks completed so far (April and May) -

- cleared a load of the over-grown shrubs and weeds from the front section of the garden.
- cleared metal poles and other mess, from previous owner, in back section.
- trimmed bay tree and other plants/trees/shrubs in second section.
- planted seeds – peas, carrots, poppies, sunflowers, stocks.
- window boxes complete with beautiful flowers from the local charity nursery, run for disabled people.
- Bought lots of plants from the charity nursery – herbs, sweet peas, jasmine, lots of flowers.
- Created my first little flower bed – chocomocha cosmos, violas, red and purple verbena – lots of others that I can’t remember right now – will add to the ‘My Garden’ bit.

Now to plan what I’ll do with the garden to make it mine.

Well done on what you've achieved so far ... those Sweet Peas look healthy ... not easy with the lack of rain down here!
