its taken me years to prepare for planting,lots of diggin and removing concrete posts i found under the soil,but finally i have the perfect place to start my garden.watch this space for progress,im off to the garden center now,as i have 4 cats and a dog im making my garden animal friendly.any advice will be really appreciated.

Love your kitty....hope your trip to the GC was fun and you got some ideas (and even some plants if the budget allowed). Good luck with your memorial garden...I'm sure it will evolve a bit at a time now that the weather is warming up and the days are better suited to getting into the garden.

Here's something to consider. If you have cats make sure you have some areas where there is bare (or bare-ish) soil - maybe under a shrub or something.
Cats need to go to the toilet just like all other animals, and there are lots of people who don't like them scratching in their gardens.
I have plenty of earth in between my perennials and shrubs where Blodyn likes to scratch and look for spiders etc. She likes to hide there aswell, and jump out at me when I don't suspect it lol.

Cats also like to chew grass, so maybe you could make sure you leave some little clumps of it somewhere they can find. It helps their digestion apparently.

I hope you had a great time in the garden centre, and bought some nice plants :))
