Hi all, just thought you may like a quick look at what is growing on our plots at the moment..

lots of peas to swell up on these (first earlies ) my main crop has yet to leave the greenhouse..

courgetts & runner beans..(i have replaced the beans twice as the dreaded slugs ate those too )

there will be a good few pounds of strawbs in this bed..

more early peas on our second plot..

sweetcorn not doing too bad (minipop).

salad leaves have been planted in between onions to keep pests at bay..it has worked so far. …http://media.growsonyou.com/photos/blog_photo/image/73133/main/plotthurs_019.jpg!

grasses have had a trim..

toms in greenhouse 3 types. the small pots on shelf have basil seeds just coming up..

lots of life in the pond..

cabbage..have planted more in bed on left as they were getting devoured..i planted garlic around them to see if it would deter pests..the ones on the right have onions around them & they seem to be ok..

It all looks scrumptious, like you we have planted our beans twice due to the dreaded slugs.

I am completely envious of your lovely allotment Joan ... everything is looking so well-kept and the produce is coming along so well. Shame about the slugs liking your Runner beans so much though. : o ((

thank you..Paul,Libet & TT for your kind comments, Sandra the pond is doing well considering i dug it all out myself & filled it & put the rocks & plants round it lol.
Stroller, it is sooo annoying when you plant something & the next day its gone ..after growing it for ages in the greenhouse..i dont like to use the slug pellets but am considering nematodes.
shirley yours will be the same next year if not better..you may not have as many slugs where you are lol.
cmsue, you are right about the peas..i keep picking the fattest ones & eating them as i pass them..we got lots of strawbs tonight & i have had to freeze them as we are going away tomorrow & i didnt want to leave them in the bed in case they got eaten by slugs..:o)
