hi everyone bank holiday monday but realy cold here. the blue tits havent used the box afterall. the blackbirds are in and out of the honeysuckle so a bit of hope there. we shall just have to see had a tidy up in the garden on saturday just cuttin back in ribes and kerria not done much else, potatoes still not comin up either.

We have an enterprising robin nesting on my greenhouse shelf, this is the second clutch, the first I knew when happily pottering was a beady eye staring at me...it was a chick perched unsteadily on a terracotta pot

Pouring down here, did do a bit in the greenhouse this morning but thats about it, I can sit and see all my garden from my chair and I was horrified to see the ruddy magpies diving into my hedgerow to where the blackbirds nest is, I shot outside and created a fuss below the hedge, okay I know its natures way but I don't have to like it all the time, I suppose they'll be back though...
