Blown Away!

Well, we have had the sunshine, the dull day and today it’s been sooo blustery.
Not good for sowing seeds but the potting on went ok ably assisted by Miffy one of my cats. She loves to be out and about with me, trotting alongside me in the morning as I check my plants and seedlings in the poly tunnel. She has a bed in there where she keeps guard (with her eyes shut curled up in a ball).

Am I the only person who hasn’t mown their lawn yet? All the neighbours have had their flymos whizzing up and down since the good weather came, some are even on a second cut. Little ol’ me hasn’t even dusted the mower off yet! Thankfully the grass is not up to my chin, but I reckon if I don’t get my finger out soon, there’s every chance it could be.

The fuchsias in the poly tunnel have gone from looking like dead twigs to sprouting leaves and oh, my lovely wisteria, loads of buds! I can’t tell you how excited it makes me to see it!

Let’s hope the good weather continues for a while longer so we can all catch up after the earlier cold spell.

I also hope it lasts a bit longer, - until November lol. Isn't it nice to see the fuchsias all waking up. I have several and every year I'm afraid incase they are dead. It's such a relief to see them all with nice green buds on them.

Only november??? lol
My fuchsias are just starting to wake up,I do worry about them every year :-)
No lawn for me,but the council here actually bothered to this week(I'm right next to a park) ans when they bother it's probably a sigh it's to late ;-) At least the first crop of dandelions won't go to seed....

I don't have a lawn either. I don't like them. They're a lot of work, and take up too much space. We have a grass area by the house and the council mow it. They keep it looking tidy all the time.

I don't mind few dadelions in the grass,I just mind them going to seed on my garden. There's always a point in the summer when they mow AFTER they've gone to seed and they all seem to end on my garden!

Dandelions are a nuisance aren't they. The roots go down so far you can't get them all up so they grow back :o( I hope you can keep them in check this year

I'm on top of them so far this year, but between the park and my weed-yards neighbours gardens I'll be under attack of dandelion seeds rain again, I'm pretty much surrounded by dandelion fields ;-(

Where I used to live the garden next door was full of them and the seeds would all blow into mine :o( Horrible aren't they.
