Chill in Sharm

Well got back to Newcastle only three degrees after a very warm pre- Christmas break to find the wind and rain had taken its toll on the garden. Lots of leaves to clear up, protective cover off veggies, but thankfully no frost damage.
Will make a start tommorow to tidy up.
Found only a few plants in hotel gardens as they were stripping everything back to prep for next year.
Bougainvillea every where, running wild in places.

then a couple of “shrubs” with odd looking growth????

Then this lovely tree with yellow flowers ?? Being used as hedging around the perimeter of grounds.

And this rather charming bird following me around while taking the pics. Thought it would fly off when I turned but it oddly hid behind a tree till I moved on.

then every evening around six a lovely sunset over the mountains.

then when I got back to our room we found an elephant in residence!!!!!
