Castor oil plant, just planted out

Castor oil plant, just planted out (Ricinus communis (Castor oil plant))

Inspired by Delonix1's comment, I took it indoors over winter for the first time and it survived!

Do They Grow Well Any Where.?

2 Oct, 2013

I think so. I gave some seeds to my friend who lives near me in Norfolk this spring and all the seeds germinated and they grew well too. I didn't check if they had flowers/seeds. I'll ask her one day.

They love to be in a sunny spot. The colour of the leaves tends to be green-ish rather than on the red side when you plant them in a shady spot

What else?

See who else is growing Ricinus communis (Castor oil plant).

See who else has plants in genus Ricinus.

This photo is of "Castor oil plant" in Tommymoo's garden
