i absolutely love these trees, so draw it in my lil plan..... then someone said they or something on them were poisonous???? obviously can't have one if this is true because of Emily and Harvey.

Yes they are poisonous Clairey. Although lots of things in the garden are and I believe children can be taught about not handling/eating things.

I too love these trees....so eye catching,but like a previous poster say's being poisonous,I have a dog and wouldnt want to chance it,also the granchildren can be taught ....yes ....but my one's never listen ;-)

I agree with Cristina. I remember as a child being warned time and again about the Laburnum trees, but avoiding poisonous plants is very difficult! You would need to stick to herbs only..mind you some people would say that would be a good thing...like Jekka!! However, I do draw the line at Monkshood - Aconites - they are some of the most poisonous plants in the world and loads of people grow them and don't have a clue!

We go on nature walks almost every day and she now points out to me what i shouldnt touch, she's very smart but maybe i'll leave it a few years, she's only 4. I will just admire the neighbours one for now.
