November flowering Kniphofia

Janey

By Janey

November flowering Kniphofia (Kniphofia rooperi)

In September, I split the main K rooperi plant and planted a handful of the splits hoping to see flowers next year. I was amazed to see in October, 3 plants sending up flower stems so soon!

Yes Shilrley, and I really like this small red hot poker...the strappy leaves are evergreen too...:))

Members of my gardening group are often on the lookout for K. rooperi - they say it glows!

Do you know it really does! I'll have too many in the same area in Spring Sheila, I'll send some on to you for them..

Wow Janey - what a generous offer. You’ll be making me a star in their eyes!
