This is the autumn colour of the Fern-leaved Beech, Fagus sylvatica 'Asplenifolia'. A stunning slow growing tree it will eventually reach a height of 25metres.

all the different reds, bronzes, & lots of gold...must be
a wonderful buzz for all the Artist's, i can just picture them sitting there at their easels, taking in all the beauty of this spectacular season.....nice pic of this wonderful tree Janey...oh, how we do take them for granted...

Where I work Vincent, there is a huge parkland Beech that faces the window, this past week the whole room has been golden....:o))
We're enjoying a spectacular Autumn aren't we Sheila? Beginning of November is always the most colourful up here, just takes us nicely into the mayhem of Xmas, then the long slog up to Spring. I do love the seasons though, I just need a few more winter shrubs, for more garden interest...:o))

Janey, have you got the 'smoke bush' if you have'nt it's a must have buy....the proper name for it is Cotinus..
it is a dark orangey red at the moment with fluffy stems...in Summer it is a beautiful purple...stunning shrub!!!
