Boltardy. Came back from France to find these had swelled quite nicely. So pickled them last night.

So do we. I pickled them using a recipe given to me by an old Irish friend of mine. You're suppose to leave them in the fridge for at least a week. Don't know if we can wait.

I love beetroot too lovely crop there but I don't like them pickled lol.

Strangely enough, left to our own devices, we'd probably eat them all fresh as well. Some of these will go to family etc. Creates a talking point, when we say ' ours are better than Baxter's ' hee hee.

We prefer to eat fresh with Salad etc...but my Dad loved his either pickled or smothered in Vinegar before he ate it......:o((
