The best tme to trim this back is immediately after flowering. The next year's flowers are carried on the new growth.

I think it depends how much space you want it to fill. If you cut it back a lot it will limit the flowers you get in spring. I just trim it if its covering something else.

I like this version of Lithodora.
Is it difficult to obtain?

That's awesome looking blooms, a real eye-catcher, wish I could grow it, I've killed it twice now, so it's time to call it quits...lol.

I like the stripey version. Thought I'd wait and see how my plain blue one did first, then maybe add this also.

I hate gloves too, need to feel the soil! Only problem is I work in a gift store and make gift baskets three days a week, so I don't think the customers are too impressed. We're right next to spas and manicure places, so I think the customers coming from those are the least impressed of all!

Yep, I've given up on the soft & feminine look there; it just doesn't work on mine as I can't stand to wear gloves.Oh well!

I hadn't realised the name had been changed . This is my old favourite Lithospermum Heavenly Blue. It was supposed to be hard to propagate. My Wife who did all the cutting taking, was always so pleased when she had a boxful all rooted. I have only just brought it back to my, garden, but haven't taken any cuttings .
