I'm sure it's a succulent. the flowers stay pretty much like this. I've had it a few years- it thrives on neglect! It only flowered when I put it in the conservatory so it must like hot conditions (it can reach 120F in summer)

Any ideas on what this is called? Very pretty. Definitely looks like some sort of succulent. The leaves look similar to the Xmas cactus, but these flowers are quite different than those on the xmas cactus. Does the flower open up more?

Definitly not an Orchid Cactus. Gorgeous flower. This is going to drive me nuts until I find out what it is.

A photo of the bud from a different angle would also help so that I could see the stem of the bud...

This looks like the Epiphylum Orchid Cactus that we grow but I'm not positve. If it is, the red on the leaves is from too much sun, They should be green. Can you post another photo of the entire plant ?

Is this a Kalanchoe (Flaming Katy)? If so, this was my first plant EVER, when I was about 14!

I think I found it- "Kalanchoe Wendy" The book says it flowers late winter- not sure what that says about the early British summer!
