Well Lori, let's google on that one. I am for ever researching and google is very good I find. I agree that the buds look similar to your honeysuckle.

I was struck by the buds in the upper left... flowers are gorgeous...but the buds remind me of my honesuckle...lol. do you suppose Ixora and lonicera are of a family? must take a look. Beautiful photo.

Several weeks, but the bush flowers for ages. These are a cluster of tiny flowers. I think you mean in the house, once picked no longer than a day or 5.

According to Wikipedia, and the differing classification systems aside, they are of the same Class...Magnoliopsida...which simply means that they are dicots...they have two cotelydons to nourish emergent shoots and roots...but Ixora is of the Order Gentianalis while Lonicera is of the order Dipsacales...All Greek to Me!!! but at least my curiosity has been satisfied... lol.
