These herbaceous flowering plants are thought to be aphrodisiacs. Epimedium species are hardy perennials and are used mostly for ground cover. The majority have colourful four-petaled flowers in spring. The dense foliage remains for much of the year.

I love this color. I only have the pink and white, so this one just went on my "Want List". There's a yellow and white that I'd like to have too.

Epimediums take shade and varying degrees of dryness (although keep them moist until estabished). This one grows from rhizomes so will take it fairly dry eventually
