Ladybird on teasel stem

The teasel I asked for an ID, when smaller, is very attractive to ladybirds of all colours, especially as there are nice plump aphids on parts of it.

No chance of it going hungry with all these aphids

I have read that ladybirds lay eggs near aphids. These are crafty aphids too....they fall off the leaves if touch the stem, or maybe a blue tit lands to have a feast, and leave a few brave aphids behind them. I think this a wonderful plant to grow for children to observe different insects at eye level. At one of the 'pools ' in the leaf axils a bee landed to drink the moment I trickled some more water into them. Thanx for your comments ladies.
