What a gorgeous patern on the leaves

I've just quickly googled it and one out of the five sites said it was a climber, is that correct ???
22 Nov, 2009
Its a kind of vine Louise that can climb up a stake or cascade to the ground so I have read on it.

So it won't stand up on its own at all ?

Ha ha found this on another page for you Louise http://www.smgrowers.com/products/plants/plantdisplay.asp?plant_id=3102

Hi Guys, this was in my uncle's garden originally and I got one via my Mum. I put a question up this morning as I've never known what it is, then by chance I found it in one of my books. Its a cross between a Fatsia and an ivy - hence the name. This is only about 18 inches high and already needs support - those big leaves make it top heavy - they look really good growing against a fence or wall but they cant cling at all. Glad you like it. Easy to take cuttings from too :-)

It's lovely Dawn.
22 Nov, 2009
Maybe I could take a cutting for you Toto :-)
22 Nov, 2009
Thank you Dawn but I'm not sure I have anywhere to put it.
22 Nov, 2009
Awww, that's a shame.
PS. Love the ducks :-) and so pleased Tilly is OK and Sarah is happy

Thanks Dawn.
I saw the ducks at the "London Wetland Centre", they were such characters.

Did you see lots of other water birds Toto.

It is a lovely plant!

Thanks Sandra/Amblealice - its nice to have a few plants that look good all year.
22 Nov, 2009
Yes Dawn. I did see lots of other water birds while there. I took dozens of pics and was going to write a blog but decide that the pics weren't good enough.
23 Nov, 2009
Come on Toto - I'm sure they are, go for it.
23 Nov, 2009
You asked for it. I'll write one in a couple of days when the latest crisis is over.

Just bought this one and the plain green one, put a picture on two weeks ago? have been looking for ages for it, yours looks very healthy.
26 Nov, 2009
I havent seen the green one - I'll take a look :-)
Nice, arent they.
26 Nov, 2009
Didnt put the green on as it is rather boring compared to this one, and no yours is nicer than mine.
26 Nov, 2009
I think I need to buy some obelisks, this will need support next year.
27 Nov, 2009
Have not got a clue where ours is going lol
28 Nov, 2009
Sometimes I 'just have to have' plants .... not knowing where they're going, ha ha.
28 Nov, 2009
At least you have enough space to put them, we have now catalogued 520 that we know of, not counting ones bought from the midlands, and our garden is really small. if we had your size, heaven help us.........lol
28 Nov, 2009
Blimey Dotty, that's alot of plants. I need to extend some beds and make a new one. Husband says I'm mad as I cant cope with what I have already, lol. What does he know, ha ha.
29 Nov, 2009
Nothing Dawn, nothing at all... poor soul lol
