Just chilling out..:o)

I wondered if it was dying,as it was on a Fuchsia leaf for so long..and seemed motionless. It then had a wash and brush up,and flew away :o)

Love them. I keep having to rescue them when they fly into our glass sun porch but never seem to be able to find their way back out.

Great shot B. I expect he was just resting, although it has turned a bit cold for them (& me! put heating on:)

I was outside today on the front weeding and noticed a poor worker bee walking on the slabs, obviously in some distress. I ran into kitchen, grabbed the squeezy honey, which had gone quite solid so I had to get it out with a knife. Mixed it with water on a teaspoon and ran out again. I kept putting dilute honey in front of the bee which kept turning away from it. Eventually, to my delight, she had a drink ...it's working I thought ...then she fell over, legs scrabbling in the air. I had to get her upright again ...then over she went again. In the end I got her upright and came in. I couldn't take any more. I promise you it does work normally, but maybe her wings had worn out:-(

Great pic Bloomer. I once thought a bumble bee had died, but it seems they just like a snooze now and then!

So do I ,Dwyllis.and I seem to do ok removing them from inside....a plastic jug,and newspaper..I wait till they settle on the window, pop the jug over it,and as it's flying around inside,I slide the paper across the top..and take it outside :o)
Thanks H.bird,Johnjoe, and Paul..it didn't even move when I was really close to it ...so thought it was a goner :o)

Cheers Shirley, and S.lad..I didn't expect it to come out as well as it has..so quite pleased..

He must have been,G.mage..probably saw a pretty lady Bee,so decided to spruce himself up .. maybe his last chance ! :o)We have had the fire on at times this past two days too...no heating yet though..another jumper instead :o)

I think they get affected by the cold. They look rather lethargic and are often mistaken for being dead!
Great shot though Bloomer!
