Aren't we all! I lost almost all my perennial Lobelia, a large chunk of my Tricyrtis and a really lovely Penstemon too.

Nope!
The lowest minimum that I saw over the winter was minus 20c, so I guess that it was to be expected.

Yes indeed...We had -16 here for quite a time......My perennial Lobelia survived for some reason...Meanie you should have taken cuttings from your Penstemon...I have quite a few done already....There are some plants i just wouldnt like to lose...:>)

Us too in France...and I lost a few too - both Gauras...both my perennial Lobelias survived thank goodness...I cover all my Perennials with straw, and it normally works...Moti do you mean stem cuttings or root cuttings from the Penstemon...

Stem cuttings Crissue...Now is the perfect time, there is usually plenty of nice new non-flowering shoots...they are really easy...:>)
