About this plant

Genus: Guzmania.

Species: Guzmania spp. and hybrids.

I'd always seen bromeliads but never thought to buy one because they need indirect light - and my balcony gets full sun - but now with an office with windows, which get a ton of indirect light, I risked it. So far it's doing very well, the red stem is about to give white starry-like flowers, and it makes me happy every time I go to work and see it!
