Species: Pelargonium.
I love geraniums - I have four kinds:
Americana 'Violet', Americana 'White Splash',
'Salmon' and a "Red" variety which I just bought a few weeks ago. It's worth it to nurse them thorugh their ugly phase which begins in July, because it's too hot for them. But come October they will recover and flower beautifully! And keep flowering until late May or early June.
