A late-flowering crocosmia which kicks off in August, and keeps on flowering until the end of September, making it a very useful addition to the large batch of July-August crosmias if you want to prolong the show. 'Spitfire' lives up to its name being an in-your-eye fiery orange, adding much needed colour to the late summer border.
