About this plant

Genus: Phaseolus.

Species: Phaseolus vulgaris.

Strong variety that can be picked very early. Saxa gives a high yield of 12-13 cm long, round-oval sectioned pods. Low-growing plants that can be planted out under glass in early spring or in the open air at a later date.

Grew in propagator then 16 April 2008 planted out in cold frame with plastic cover. Just surviving the frost. These are 'earlys'

Later I planted out further rows direct into the soil.
