Seen growing along roadsides throughout the Maritimes, Lupins grow strong, densely packed flower spikes that blend well with natural surroundings. Plants prefer moist soil and full sun to partial shade. Nick seed with a knife before planting. Lupins are a legume and fix nitrogen in the soil. Freeze seed 48 hours before planting. Full range of colours; purple,red-orange, yellow, pink, white and many bi-colours
