THE TOP PART OF MY BACK GARDEN HAS QUITE POOR DRAINAGE SO I FIND ASTILBES ARE GREAT FOR THIS WATER RETENTIVE AREA. THEY ALSO LOOK GOOD ALL YEAR ROUND, I DON'T CUT THEM BACK TIL ABOUT NOW AS THEY STILL LOOK GOOD WHEN THERE IS A FROST.
