It's - Snow time.

Not so much a blog, more a snapshot of – the snow.

We Brits like our snow. That is; We like to see it as long as it doesn’t get in the way. But of course it does. It interferes with just about everything to do with public transport. And it allows us to moan about the state of the roads.., etc.

This shows how deep it is – up the the axle of the tractor that is garaged in next-doors garden…

…Later the same day.

I was having a well-earned cup of tea. I had spent a couple of hours clearing snow from the paths around the house, wouldn’t want the Postman to slip over after battling through the icy weather to get here.

Bear in mind that I am sitting at the table in the front of the house looking back through the window in the kitchen at the back of the property… It was snowing.

For the technical bods:
It was taken at full zoom (270mm (or 437mm for 35mm equivalent))
f6.3
ISO 400
Canon 400D

We don't all like it. I can't stand it. It makes me feel depressed.
I'm glad to say we haven't had much here :o)

Nice to see the woodpecker feeding. I see them occasionally here.

Few parts of GB have escaped the snow.
I spent 3 hours non-stop yesterday morning clearing my paths and driveway.
But nice to see the birds in winter. :o)

I think we all agree that there is nothing like a bit of a change in the weather to get people talking.. :)
