Proof that Santa exists.

It was just another frosty, cloudy day; You know the ones where grey cloud sits overhead threatening and sometimes giving? When the air itself is laden with moisture and the mist swirls about with sullen movement and the temperature doesn’t raise above zero..?

Such a day was last tuesday. I had been shopping, walked the dog (and dried him off on return), topped up the fire-basket with some more logs and sitting at the dining table with a cup of tea and a copy of the local newspaper.

I happened to glance up when I was on page five and noticed something was different…

It took a few moments to register but suddenly I realised what was happening; The SUN was shining.

‘My’, I thought, ‘that looks nice. Where’s my camera?’

It was close by and I took a snap of the scene.

A couple of days later I remembered that the camera had some pics on it and decided to download them, which took only a few moments.

I browsed through them and metaphorically cast them aside as poor or needy, as I tend to do with quite a lot of photos. But I store them and file them away because I hate to delete them.

Anyway, there was the picture – it showed the frosty grass, still there at 4pm (when pic was taken), it showed the hedge that I have to trim a couple of times a year, it showed a strange, etherial light glowing across the willow. It showed…

SANTA, doing a trial-run for his big day….

Magic Fractal cat . . I love it! And I loved the story of the 6-year old girl who (recently) asked the visiting plumber his name. "Jonny" he said; and with terrifically creative imagination, added "Jonny Claus. You might have heard of my brother, Santa? I'll mention you to him." And on Christmas Day the little girl found a note from Santa Claus with her stocking "Hallo . . . I hear you've met my brother, Jonny?"!
