A cold wind outside

By driad

I was tending my seedlings in the greenhouse when I noticed these little yellow balls of “bumpy” material . I have seen them before , it must have been last year .
I rushed in for the camera , more haste not such good pictures . Never mind .

I remember opening a bag of compost years ago and tiny tiny spiders emerged.

Well captured. They are amazing to watch making different shapes if they are disturbed, I sat at watched for hours on one of my plants a few years back hundreds of them like yours.

Thanks everyone .
They are very busy today . They seem to like full sun , they "huddle" together in the shade .
