A pretty little thing but our vet advises against giving them lettuce. dont know why. They do like it though. I have a dandelion clump that is rooted through a perennial and i just pick the leaves regularly.

OOoooh, sooooo cute and fluffy!

Sbg, can rabbits eat fresh dandelion flowers? My dd says they have to be allowed to dry for a day before giving to the rabbit, is this right? Presumably the leaves can be given fresh?

Yes, I think lettuce gives rabbits the "runs"!

Oh he is sooooo cute. My daughter just loves him too. She now wants a rabbit. LOL
Our old rabbit used to eat fresh dandelion flowers all the time and it never seemed to bother him. I think lettuce does give them the "runs" but I thought it was just the iceberg type lettuce....leaf lettuce was OK I thought.....could be wrong. Peter also used to like clover flowers and apple.
