I only had 5 Pelargoniums left this year

but today I knocked the dry soil off the roots. Set up
5 × 8″ pots with the half bag of J.I. No.3 left over.
Planted them, and removed indoors to the kitchen window
sill where I know they will be happy.
Its amazing how pleasing they are to just fill a corner
next Spring.

Agree, it gives you a good start in Spring. I put my half dozen in a single plastic trough this afternoon and they will stay outside as long as possible. Will then bring them into the conservatory out of the wet (Our Novembers are often one long session of wind and rain...)

I suppose I could do it on a larger scale to make a flower bed easily next year. Will put it on the calendar for next
April. The plugs are at the GC then.

At the moment we have an enormous Busy Lizzie on our window sill. Cheers me up every time I look at it!

I brought my large Geraniums into my outer hall for protection against the high winds. They are still there and will remain until the spring. I also have last years healthy cuttings there as my greenhouse is too cold for them. They will soon be joined by my Fuchsias. Getting in the front door is a bit difficult in the winter but pretty. :0)

Well done Linda. My fuchsias are still out - got to get the wallhouse mended before they can come in!
Eirlys you are lucky - mine succumbed to the mildew ages ago - so disappointing as I thought it was sorted didn't you?

I don't take Geranium cuttings at this time of year, I wait until the spring. Mine always turn mouldy if I take them now.

I must sort mine out and bring them into the cold greenhouse. I also take cuttings in the spring as they are less likely to rot.

Thank you Linda and SB for that very helpful advice.
