Dwarf Cyclamens indoors.

I brought an odd one in from my garden as an experiment. It has really thrived on a coffee table in a shady space in my lounge. Produces more buds and flowers every week.
Liked this idea so bought a tray of 4 for £5 off a shelf out
in the cold at the Garden Centre.
Potted them on into 4" pots, stood them all on a tray of gravel.
Can see a difference in them in 3 days, just that little warmth is so appreciated.
I like this idea, making tray gardens to have indoors in the winter months. Better than house plants from growers’ poly tunnels, some of which dont last a month from the shock of being brought from abroad, and the different temperatures endured on the journey.
Realistic. Recommended.
Would make a nice gift at this time of year.

I am very pleased with them. Can admire them whilst keeping warm. Just off to the Gym. Ha ha.

Its a nice way of seeing plants happy. I can sense they are happy, they spread out and make more buds. Because they are warm and protected from cold winds, snow, frost and other winter menaces.

I have a tray of the bedding sort in my conservatory and they are 5 yrs old now. I chose a pale pink scented one and they are stunning. I repot them every year. they are not fully hardy in a cold winter outside so I don't mind at all.

they will do really well for you Diane.

I wondered about doing the same with Primulas.

I think its better to have plants than a vase of flowers and especially good to have in the winter months when often stuck indoors and no flowers to see from the windows, do you pop some bulbs in pots as well Diane...
