my robinia needs help

My Robinia is in full flower,and I,ve lost a branch already through the weight of the flowers,the squirrels don.t help,sitting on the branches and eating the blossom,as you can see i,ve lifted a branch,with the help of a crepe bandage,but are all Robinias as brittle.they don,t give any warning,just a crack and that is another branch broken off

The blossom is so pretty, Bren, I have only seen white before. I knew the branches were brittle, but you can't tell the squirrels that can you?
