Hi ! I am Blanche I have just bought a ground floor apartment in an old Victorian House, it is on the perimeter of Nottingham City, as the garden was an overgrown cat toilet! yuk! I am re- inventing it and trying to pay homage to its red brick Victorian wall one side and ordinary fence the otherside.

The garden is only half of what it once would have been size wise,, but there is a lot of potential, and its exciting choosing my plants and seeing it all come together!

I have loved this summer so far and have lived outside since my son and I moved in together Mid April time.....
but must say I am glad of the rain now for my newly planted stuff.

I would welcolme suggestions for hardy but pretty cottage garden plants for the back of the border against my red brick wall........ also would welcolme any ideas for a repeat flowering rose preferably an old timer to scramble up the gate?
