anybody got any ideas why the black beauty pansies i bought, from seed, r not black?? there mixed colours so far, only 4 have flowered

Did you grow them from a reputable seed company? If so I would photograph them with the seed packet and email it to the company asking for an explaination.....I did it with plug plants that should have been pink and came out like a rainbow and a packet of seed where only one seed germinated. In each case the companies replaced the product. If we don't tell them then how will they know......
