Not as many seedlings as last year but they all look healthy. Alicantie coming on fine and last years Hebe and ivy cuttings are taking off. My jubilee Rose really looks nice but i need to have a talk to it to tempt it to show more buds than last year. Dicentra plants (Two) sprouting up nicely. Always exciting this time of year and its great to hear the young chicks talking in the nest boxes. Its not good weather here yet but hope it may improve soon. My woodwork projects on hold at present as i have to build a portable bench to use my wood router correctley. Hope to be doing my furniture by mid may . As for our Rocky (The Budgie ) he can now talk the hinde legs off a donkey. Its all systems go though and i hope all your projects are going as fine as my own. Take care all This year looks very inviting. Tony

It is a lovely time of year, and I look forward to my dicentras too. We can hear some baby rooks in the nests now, caw-cawing in shrill little voices - something we always look forward to!

Yep its all go at the moment Tony but as you say very exciting, even after all these years I still get really chuffed when my seedlings first appear and even more so when they are big enough for me to transplant them. Lots of very busy birds around here at present, backwards and forwards all the time..
Enjoy your weekend Tony....

Hi Lincslass Yes its great to veiw healthy seedlings. I did,nt put many seeds down this year but it seems the results appear fairley good. Not bought any plants this year (Want to see how my own sowing will suffice)but my main problem is where to put the plants. Two nice lawns( but dare i say it)i am happy with my resident plants. 7 of my 9 nest boxes are occupied so as you say the bird life is going to hit the roof this year. Weather here still slightley unusual. Take care enjoy Tony
