They do have a short life..
When you start to see gaps in them apparently around 7 years. Our Hidcotes are about that age so may have to replace some of them.

Julia, I have a trough at the front, it has 2 lovely Lavenders in.
However, one had succumbed this year, so I bought another...then another..then the 3rd time - lucky! The first 2 were from GC'c and died pretty much straight away.
The 3rd I bought from a B & M shop. I'd dropped my car off at a garage to have a little job carried out and around the corner was this shop. It's a good size and has flourished this past 10 days.

They are a bit hit and miss Kate..
They do need good drainage(grit) and they don't need feeding or fertile soil.Hope it takes off.

I'm a real Lavender lover! I think I may have too many in my little garden though! 😁
