Cricket played here!

The garden comes alive in a different way when the grand children come to stay!

The boys love cricket and they spent a lot of time with bat and ball! The apple tree was a brilliant fielder and saved many fours and sixes!!

Next week the little girls arrive!!

A pigeon was disturbed more than once and a few roses suffered but hey!!!!

The wickets, bat and ball have now been put away in the garage waiting for the next visit! All a bit quiet and sad now but the pigeon and the roses have breathed huge sighs of relief!

And me, I’m having a rest!!

So good to see youngsters playing sport instead of starring at screens! Not a cricket fan myself, but love tennis, especially the fortnight of Wimbledon.

Well they have to do what they have to do don't they :) I'm glad you were able to let them play their cricket, and hope they enjoyed it.
When the little boy next door's ball came into my garden and snapped a branch off a shrub, he would always knock on the door to apologise but I used to tell him not to worry because I could use the branch as a cutting :D
